Our partnership with the City of Bellevue serves as a real-world demonstration of how Edge AI can address critical urban challenges. By leveraging Archetype AI’s physical foundational model (Newton), we are piloting Dynamic Pedestrian Management to create safer and more efficient city intersections.
Key Objectives:
Real-Time Incident Detection: Uses GenAI to identify pedestrian safety risks, such as near-misses, late crossings, or accidents, as they happen.
Dynamic Traffic Management: Communicates directly with traffic management systems to suggest adaptive signal adjustments in real time.
Proactive Safety Alerts: Notifies city officials of high-risk conditions to enable quicker interventions.

Data is captured from intersection cameras and crosswalk signals hardwired at traffic intersections.


Inferencing Archetype AI Model
Data from real-time video streams and traffic signals from city infrastructure are fed into Archetype AI’s foundational models to interpret pedestrian events as they occur.
Actionable Insights
Archetype AI provides real-time inference of pedestrian & vehicle incidents, near incidents, or late crossings, providing immediate intelligence to traffic management teams.
The system enables traffic management teams to interact with historical information, generated by Archetype AI’s model, using SLMs to further analyze events.

Data from incidents and interventions is logged, enabling continuous enhance of AI models and city-wide traffic strategies.
