Las Vegas, NV - March 16, 2026 – Khasm Labs and New Use Energy today announced the launch of SunLink, a fully integrated, field-ready communications and power platform that combines cellular backhaul, secure Wi-Fi, edge computing, and silent renewable energy into a single ruggedized unit. The system will debut this week at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas.

Designed for environments where traditional infrastructure is unavailable or compromised, SunLink enables organizations to rapidly deploy secure connectivity and reliable power anywhere in the world. The system can connect to commercial cellular networks or integrate with enterprise private 5G deployments, while providing local secure Wi-Fi access and off-grid renewable power.

SunLink represents the next evolution of the collaboration between Khasm Labs and NUE, transitioning from modular systems into a fully integrated deployable edge infrastructure platform.

“Mission-critical operations cannot depend on fragile infrastructure,” said Jim Brisimitzis at Khasm Labs. “SunLink creates an instant communications and power bubble wherever it’s deployed, enabling responders, operators, and field teams to stay connected even when traditional infrastructure is unavailable.”

A Self-Contained Connectivity Platform

Unlike traditional field deployments that require separate networking and power systems, SunLink integrates multiple capabilities into a single deployable unit, including:

  • Cellular connectivity for backhaul to carrier or private 5G networks

  • Built-in secure Wi-Fi access for local device connectivity

  • Onboard edge computing

  • Solar and battery-based renewable power

  • Rapid single-user deployment in under 10 minutes

The result is a self-contained connectivity platform capable of supporting mission-critical applications in remote, austere, or disaster-affected environments.

SunLink’s integrated Wi-Fi capability allows operators to connect laptops, tablets, drones, body cameras, medical equipment, and other devices that may not support private 5G networks. This ensures rapid onboarding of field teams and broad device compatibility while maintaining secure, encrypted communications.

Built for Critical Operations

SunLink is designed for organizations operating in environments where communications and power infrastructure cannot be guaranteed, including:

  1. Emergency response and disaster recovery

  2. Defense and forward operating bases

  3. Utility restoration and grid repair

  4. Remote industrial operations

  5. Humanitarian and crisis response missions

By combining silent renewable power with edge computing and flexible connectivity options, SunLink enables teams to maintain communications and process mission-critical data locally even in challenging connectivity environments.

“Remote power and back up power are critical enablers for connectivity in the field,” said Paul Shmotolokha at NUE. “SunLink brings all those capabilities together in a single platform that can be deployed quickly, operate silently and recharge fast using a variety of means including solar.”

A Platform for Deployable Edge Infrastructure

The launch of SunLink marks a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between Khasm Labs and NUE. Future development plans include expanded configurations designed for extreme environments, U.S. government compliance requirements, and integration with satellite backhaul technologies.

Together, these capabilities position SunLink as the foundation for a new generation of deployable edge infrastructure platforms designed to support mission-critical communications wherever they are needed.
